Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Charles C. and Katie A . ( Hafer) Moyer. Moyer was employed for 23 years as a buyer andma n a ger in the men's department by C.K. Whitner &Son Co. Inc., Readin g , a n d fo r 15 years as a quality-control supervisor by Camp Indus t r i es , Re ading , retiring in 1978. He was a 1931 graduate of Re a di n g Hi gh Scho ol an d attended Albright College. An Army vetera n o f W o rld W ar II, M oyer r eceived the Purple Heart. He was a me mb e r o f St .
