Helen L. Hafer, 94, of 405 E. Philadelphia Ave., Shillington, formerl y of 1323 Linden St., died Monday at 1 a.m. in St. Joseph Medical Cen t er, where she had been a patient four weeks. Her husband, C. Ammon H a fer, died April 16. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the l a t e A lbert P. and Hannah C. (Rickert) Barnhart. Hafer was employe d f o r 20 years as a seamer by the Rosedale Knitting Mill, Laureldale ,r e t i ring in 1971. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Churc h,R e a d in g. Surviving are two sisters, Pearl (Barnhart) Spohn, Eli zabe t hto w n, L anc aster County, and Violet (Barnhart) Gardner, Top ton.
